I’m a writer hoping to one day call myself an author in more than the world of journalism. I’ve been a journalist off and for more than a decade (God, I’m old), having covered such scintillating topics as the local spelling bee, a parade of dogs dressed in Mardi Gras costumes, and the local 4-H summer camp for youth during a stint as a daily newspaper writer. After realizing I wanted too much control over the topics I’d like to write about, I relegated journalism to a freelance effort and started creating fictional characters instead.
I live in Iowa with my husband, daughter, stepdaughter, and a frisky dachshund named Nacho. When I’m not reading (voraciously) or writing (slowly), I mainline Coke, Nutella, and the egg-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Currently I’m working on a New Adult novel titled Walking After Midnight, part of my Greasers series.
